Join the team at Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), a leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing. We are seeking a talented CNC Machine Programmer to enhance our production capabilities. This position is based at our facility in Chittenango, NY, and operates on the 1st shift.
As a CNC Machine Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and programming CNC devices to create precision parts based on detailed engineering specifications and customer requirements. Your expertise in blue-print reading and advanced machining techniques will play a crucial role in our production process.
Key Responsibilities: - Utilize advanced mathematical concepts to effectively perform job functions.
- Demonstrate expertise across all aspects of CNC manufacturing, including 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.
- Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions within machine operations to ensure smooth production.
- Collaborate with team members across various departments to streamline processes and address manufacturing challenges.
- Create and deliver training materials to empower shop floor staff.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards throughout all manufacturing processes.
- Participate in the startup of new equipment to expand our operational capabilities.
Qualifications: - Must possess a High School diploma or GED; an Associate's Degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming and machine operation.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software and knowledge of G-code is essential.
- Understanding of GD&T practices and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machine programming is advantageous.
