SUMMARY: Working under the direction of the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the CNC Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on CNC and manual equipment. The role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams to ensure equipment is maintained efficiently and safely.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair and perform normal maintenance of production equipment such as CNC Machines and Manual Machines on the shop floor
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
  • Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary
  • Complete testing and make adjustments of parts as needed
  • Complete planned and preventative procedures
  • Drain and Replace coolant
  • Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions
  • Other duties assigned by Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides
  • Demonstrated high degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and repair abilities
  • Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation
  • Knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of High school diploma from a technical school (or GED) is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
