Volt is immediately hiring for a
CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator in Torrance, California.
As a
CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and materials to determine machining processes.
- Select, install, and adjust tools, fixtures, and attachments for various machining operations.
- Perform first-article inspections and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure product quality.
- Monitor the machining process, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines and ensure they are operating efficiently.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate quality logs.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure efficient operations.
This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operations.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Schedule: Monday Friday, 1st shift (3:00pm 11:30pm)
Pay Rate: $23.00 $26.00 per hour Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
