Job Title: Entry-Level CNC Lathe Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes to produce precision metal and plastic components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of machining processes, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Pay Scale: Hourly Rate; $16.00 and up per hour (depending on experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process.
- Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of machining, blueprint reading, and measuring tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machining is preferred but not required.
