Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC lathes, input program instructions, and make necessary program adjustments.
• Insert tooling, modify programs, and perform maintenance, including cleaning electronic testing equipment.
• Gauge and inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerances.
• Work with engineers and operators to coordinate machining operations for workpieces.
• Run test samples, monitor equipment operation, and adjust settings as needed.
• Use grinders, mills, EDM, and honing equipment to finish workpieces to exact specifications.
• Complete required paperwork, including parts requisitions, tool requests, and other necessary documentation.
• Lubricate and maintain equipment as necessary, ensuring smooth operation.
• Follow all company quality procedures and safety standards.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience setting up or running CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Knowledge of machines with live tooling, tailstock, and sub-spindle transfers is highly desirable.
• Experience machining stainless steel and non-ferrous materials.
• Feature Cam or Fusion 360 programming experience is a plus.
• Proficient in reading micrometers, gauges, comparators, and blueprints.
• Strong computer and math skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive in improving processes and anticipating challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others.
• Quality and safety-focused mindset.
• Multi-turret machine experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• CAD/CAM knowledge is helpful but not required. Benefits:
