Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Program CNC machines, including Swiss-type lathes and both vertical and horizontal mills, to tailor machining processes for diverse customer requirements.
  • Perform pre-sale activities, such as customer site visits, machine capability assessments, and processing recommendations, to architect optimal processing solutions tailored for individual client needs.
  • Conduct detailed customer training sessions and setup assistance, particularly focusing on Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes, ensuring effective operation and understanding of equipment.
  • Provide ongoing technical support both remotely and through on-site visits to troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, thereby minimizing downtime and enhancing user satisfaction.
  • Handle complex blueprints and interpret technical specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to precise manufacturing requirements.
  • Oversee time study compilation and manage initial production runs to maximize workflow efficiency and verify process effectiveness.
  • Integrate and fine-tune bar feed units within CNC setups to facilitate smooth and continuous operations.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of concentrated experience in CNC machining, particularly with programming CNC lathes and mills.
  • Significant knowledge in working with Citizen and Miyano machining tools, with a focus on operational efficacy and programming finesse.
  • Capable of interpreting complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings to exact specifications.
  • A foundational educational background consisting of at least a high school diploma or equivalent; further educational courses or certifications in engineering or CNC programming are desirable.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills that enable clear and comprehensive customer interactions and internal communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with Swiss screw machines and detailed knowledge of intricate CNC operations related to fine-tolerance components.
  • Advanced training or certifications specific to CNC programming or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven track record in leading customer-focused training sessions that amplify client operational capacity and satisfaction.
Skills:
  • Proven ability in programming across various CNC machines, including advanced proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct time studies and operational assessments that inform process improvements.
  • High-level problem-solving abilities to effectively identify and rectify issues during machine setup and operation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
