Required Education and Experience- High School diploma or GED
- Two years' experience working in the Mental Health and Developmental Disability field.
- Must be able to pass drug and background screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services
- Preferred supervisor experience
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position 37.5 hr weekly (Wed- Sat) Employee will work a rotating schedule as needed to provide direct support and supervision of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As this is a residential setting, employees are assigned shifts. Employee must be able to flex hours and must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Essential Functions- Ensures the safety, welfare, and the preservation of rights of clients. Interactions with clients, staff, and visitors should always be with respect and dignity. Throughout the shift monitors and provides direct supervision of Direct Support Professionals to ensure programmatic and administrative activities are carried out.
- Ensures the home/unit has adequate supplies as needed to carry out treatment plans.
- Assists with training/mentoring residential staff.
- Reviews and monitors to ensure
• a11 documentation for assigned unit(s) is completed. If necessary, takes immediate action of noted concerns.
• - Oversees Direct Support Professionals in the completion of incident reports, restraint forms, and staff injury reports within his/her assigned unit. Reviews these forms for accuracy, legibility, and to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Conducts preliminary investigations into client and staff incidents and injuries.
- Completes work schedules for Direct Support Professionals assigned to his/her unit. Reviews schedules in advance to provide accurate daily coverage sheets for assigned unit.
- Maintains a current record of staff conduct and attendance.
- Learns all policy and procedures.
