Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer and Quality Inspector. Ensure the dimensional accuracy and quality of parts machined and molded. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programming and operating Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Calypso software and experience performing manual inspections with precision tools.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize CMM programs using Calypso (Zeiss), Keyence, and Zone 3 (OGP) software to measure parts and ensure compliance with technical specifications and GD&T.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CMM programming issues and measurement discrepancies.
  • Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure the product meets the specifications, including first articles, first-piece inspection, in-process, and final inspection.
  • Documents, reviews, and maintain documentation related to manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance. (Includes physical and digital format)
  • Maintain production team accountability and accuracy for inspection reports and specification compliance.
  • Support the culture of continuous improvement and personal accountability within the production departments, focusing on eliminating NCRs and Scrap.
  • Support non-conformances and Corrective Action investigations.
  • Support the development and compliance of QC processes/procedures/requirements, including the training and assistance of production personnel.
  • Maintain the condition, calibration, cleanliness, and organization of inspection tools, equipment, and record files.
  • Supports all other quality department activities as needed.
Required Skills/Experience/Education:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on inspection experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.
  • 3-5 years as a CMM programmer.
  • Advance knowledge of metrology hand tools and inspection methods.
  • High understanding of GD&T (reading & interpreting engineering prints)
  • Excellent technical communication and writing skills.
  • Zeiss Advance Training.
  • Zeiss Calypso Advance Training, Free Form and/or Curve. (Not Required but preferred)
  • Experience completing AS9102 First Article Reports.
Physical Demands: (as applicable)
Working with various sizes and shapes of products daily, the majority being under 5 pounds.
Regular standing at long intervals and lifting/moving products throughout the day will be required.
Writing daily reports or physical documentation standing at a computer terminal.

Work Environment / Schedule: (as applicable)
Works in a shop/lab environment with products, hand tools, and equipment, plus daily report writing.

1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:15 pm - 2:45 am
