Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a CMM Programmer in partnership with a prominent client in Endicott, NY within the machining industry. The ideal person should be proficient in programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines.
CMM Programmer Job Summary:
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
Shift: Monday - Friday; 7am to 3:30pm
CMM Programmer Responsibilities: - Confirm that products meet engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Create and refine CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to inspect parts based on engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Operate CMM machines to carry out inspections in all parts of the manufacturing process.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to ensure precise programming for measurements.
- Troubleshoot and enhance CMM programs to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing, and Design teams to address dimensional issues.
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the proper functioning of CMM equipment.
- Record inspection results and generate detailed reports for quality assurance and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant industry standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality inspection processes.
CMM Programmer Qualifications: - 2-5 years of experience.
- Proficient in PC-DMIS software is essential; experience with other metrology software is a plus.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with CAD models and 3D inspection techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing is preferred.
- Possesses a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
