Inside the Role
The IT Vehicle Electronics Team is looking for a software engineer to analyze and work on software designs and full stack implementations. You will be part of an agile software development team focused on backend software that is used for vehicle visualization including augmented reality, full vehicle modifications, and manufacturing kiting operations. You will also work closely with Design Engineers and Plant Liaisons on application integration and new vehicle integration. The IT Vehicle Electronics team is part of the IT Engineering group and is responsible for the manufacturing backend systems of all NAFTA assembly locations as well as aftersales. In addition, the team also designs and manages CAD applications used by manufacturing and engineering. In this position, you will play a key role in the administration of DTNA's proprietary Engineering Data Manager (EDM) and Digital Mock-Up (DMU) processes and tools.

Position offers a starting salary range of $78,750.00 - $100,625.00 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Play a key role in development and maintenance of DTNAs 3D modeling systems
  • Contribute to technical requirements, architecture, and interface design documents
  • Work with Agile methodology to promote rapid deployments
  • Maintenance and performance improvements on very large record sets
  • Collaborate with external and internal partners, external resources, and internal global teams
  • Consult with engineering users and IT colleagues to understand end user requirements and how they translate into application features
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and prefer 0-2 years of relevant work experience or in lieu of a degree 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Practical software engineering exposure required
  • Experience with writing code required (Java, .Net preferred)
  • Strong investigative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze technical challenges and propose innovative solutions
  • An attached resume is required
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Capability to understand large and complex systems
  • Experience with Siemens NX or AutoCAD
  • Ability to consult on and analyze customer requirements
  • Skills in managing technical resources
