Job Description:

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with strong database engineering and architecture experience. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years (10+ preferred) of expertise in AWS Lambda, Python, PowerShell, and cloud automation, particularly within AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based databases such as AWS Aurora, MongoDB Atlas, Document DB, Neptune, DynamoDB, and ElasticCache.
• Develop automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, backups, patching, and scaling using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Lambda, Step Functions, and Python.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Rafay.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimize database technologies, particularly SQL queries.
• Contribute to data management within the cloud, including future projects like database masking.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on database engineering experience, particularly with cloud database solutions like AWS and automation tools.
• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud technologies and automation, including AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of cloud database security, IAM, and Managed AD.
• Experience in Postgres Aurora, MongoDB, and emerging database technologies.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
