As a Cloud Solutions Consultant II for RapidScale, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their transition to cloud-based solutions. You will utilize your expertise in cloud technologies to support clients and channel partners, providing valuable insights and services tailored to their specific business needs. This position demands a consultative approach to selling, where you will partner closely with clients to understand their challenges and recommend cloud services that enhance productivity, security, and scalability. Your efforts will significantly boost RapidScale's reputation and reach as a trusted partner for innovative managed cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Cloud Sales: Engage with our target client base for direct sales opportunities as well as our indirect partner community to expand cloud solution sales.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed established sales quotas.
  • Relationship Development: Build and nurture relationships with new clients.
  • Collaborate on Strategy: Work alongside marketing and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Lead Sales Presentations: Conduct tailored sales meetings and deliver presentations that resonate with client needs and stakeholder interests.
  • Prospecting: Create and implement a prospecting plan to identify and pursue new sales leads.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience including a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field.
  • 6+ years experience in a direct sales role with cloud computing managed IT services experience.
  • Experience selling cloud-based solutions such as DaaS, IaaS, DRaaS, O365, and SD-WAN in a consultative sales environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to maintain and build strong client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Managed Services Provider (MSP) Sales Background: Previous experience within or selling for an MSP, with a strong understanding of managed service offerings and cloud solutions.
  • Salesforce Proficiency: Experience using CRM platforms like Salesforce to manage sales pipelines, track customer interactions, and optimize sales processes.
Compensation:

The role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $101,800.00 to $152,600.00 per year, with the potential for an annual incentive/commission target of $85,000.00. Salary may vary within this range based on factors such as location and the candidate's experience.
