Job Description ECS is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to work in our Washington, DC office. Oversee cloud adoption plans, application design, and cloud management/monitoring. Define container-based solutions and cloud formation templates. Design infrastructure architecture based on multi-tenancy requirements. Work closely with application engineering and technical teams to ensure successful cloud solution rollout. Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to align business needs with technical solutions. Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and make design adjustments, including providing effort estimates for project management. Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 Required Skills Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of Obtaining SCI / CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of education. At least 5 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines. Proven experience in cloud infrastructure setup. Demonstrated ability to lead solution design sessions. Strong ability to mentor and teach others. Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools is a plus. Familiarity with Agile and SAFe Methodologies is a plus. Desired Skills Expertise in cloud migration strategies (lift and shift, re-platforming, re-factoring) and cloud adoption frameworks. Proficiency with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and their toolsets. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates. Strong knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring). Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker. Experience with serverless architecture and cloud-native applications. Knowledge of cloud governance, cost management, and security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security). Experience with data migration and cloud storage services (e.g., S3, Azure Blob, GCP Storage). Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile and Scrum teams. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
