Leidos is excited to invite applications for the role of Cloud Solutions Architect to support the United States Space Force (USSF) with the Digital Bloodhound program. This is an outstanding opportunity for a leader with a proven track record of innovation and problem-solving skills, looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in providing cloud architectural and engineering expertise to the USSF's Defensive Cyber Operations-Space (DCO-S) organization, enabling them to make data-driven decisions rapidly while enhancing their cybersecurity capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, design, and create hybrid cloud environments to meet DCO-S initiatives, focusing on high availability and disaster recovery for critical applications.
  • Integrate advanced capabilities into new cloud-based frameworks.
  • Define essential requirements for DCO-S throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring sustainability of the hybrid cloud environment.
  • Support decision-making with thorough research and outline options alongside their advantages and disadvantages.
  • Develop solution architectures, assessing various architectural alternatives within hybrid cloud models.
  • Facilitate the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud platforms and assist with their integration into DCO-S solutions.
  • Design robust security measures within the cloud development lifecycle, translating technological needs into effective security frameworks.
  • Create and enforce security requirements that mitigate risks while ensuring efficient cyber operations across the USSF.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance DCO-S software development strategies.
  • Validate architecture against DCO-S requirements and contribute to technical discussions and collaborative working groups.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, to deliver tailored software solutions for DCO-S needs.
  • Communicate security objectives and solutions effectively with USSF leadership and program managers, considering their operational priorities.
  • Provide ongoing updates and reports on software development progress, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant software solutions.
  • Promote automation to streamline processes and enhance solution reusability.
  • Utilize cloud technologies to design and build scalable, dependable software solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Requires Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a technical architect in large-scale IT operations within government projects or private sectors.
  • Proven knowledge of cloud architecture concepts and key implementation features.
  • Experience deploying services on DoD Cloud Service Providers like AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, or Oracle.
  • Solid understanding of DevSecOps tools, processes, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, etc.).
  • Experience in application migrations.
  • Background in Agile methodology.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Willingness to undergo Counterintelligence polygraph testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a government client environment.
  • Understanding of security procedures within SCIF/SAPF settings.
  • Experience with Cloud Security Implementation.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Red Hat Certified Architect.
