Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect in Swansea, IL. We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect with a proven track record in performing complex cloud migrations from on-premise enclaves to a government cloud solution. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, along with strong project management skills. This role will involve working closely with a cross-functional team to design and implement a scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solution that meets our Air Force customer's needs. Position Responsibilities: Designs and deploy cloud-based and hybrid solutions of high complexity leveraging cloud service provider (CSP) native services and reference patterns. Design and incorporate network security and cloud security best practices. Leads developers to deploy and support complex applications in a government cloud environment, evaluate performance and implement enhancements. Leads implementation of cloud services and integration with in-house applications and systems. Delivers and support infrastructure-as-code solutions of high complexity focused on full application stack, including infrastructure and software. Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including diagrams, standards, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the migration process. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing. This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. We will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Experience performing complex cloud migrations from on-premise enclaves to the cloud. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Strong expertise in the AWS cloud platform to include relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps, etc.) Expertise with CloudOne desired Proficient in cloud migration strategies, tools, and methodologies. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures. Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Previous experience with GDSS (Global Decision Support Systems) preferred. Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
