Cloud Software Engineer - Level 2 (Rotation) with Security Clearance

SALARY RANGE: $180-200K We are seeking a highly capable Cloud Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced data analytics solutions in mission-critical environments. This role supports national security efforts and requires a creative problem solver with deep experience in cloud platforms, big data technologies, and scalable analytics frameworks. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications for data analytics in AWS or other cloud environments
• Design and implement scalable solutions that process large volumes of structured and unstructured data
• Build automated analytic software, algorithms, and techniques that support decision-making and intelligence missions
• Construct taxonomies and ontologies to organize analytic knowledge areas, skills, and data schemas
• Develop and operationalize: Data-driven analytics Event-driven analytics Analytics orchestrated via rule engines
• Build analytics that detect and leverage social networks and linguistic patterns
• Document technical specifications including data models, schemas, formats, APIs, and data dictionaries
• Work in heterogeneous data environments with complex schema integrations Required Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering) A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience A Master's degree in a technical field may be substituted for four (4) years of experience
Certifications:
Candidates must hold at least one of the following certifications:
• AWS Certified Developer - Associate
• AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Elastic Certified Engineer
Experience:
• Proven experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Deep understanding of big data architectures and cloud-scale analytics used by tech leaders like Amazon, Google, or Facebook
• Demonstrated expertise in building automated analytics systems and scalable algorithms
• Familiarity with linguistic analysis, including grammar, morphology, and semantic concepts
• Experience with social network analysis and analytics-driven intelligence solutions
• Strong technical writing skills for documenting ontologies, APIs, schemas, and other system components
• Experience integrating analytics into multi-schema, heterogeneous environments Security Clearance:
