We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Observability Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Observability Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and certifying Observability capabilities for GCP. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cloud observability solutions using technologies such as Terraform.

• Implement and manage Observability tools and APIs like Prometheus and Grafana to monitor and improve cloud infrastructure.

• Certify cloud services in a financial services environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Implement and manage DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.

• Develop and engineer software using technologies such as Python or Java.

• Work with modern SDLC tools to develop and enforce CI/CD practices.

• Develop containerized applications using Kubernetes.

• Develop data pipelines using cloud-native services.

• Implement TDD and automated testing frameworks.

• Collaborate with various departments to understand their cloud infrastructure needs and provide effective solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud services.

• Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure and processes.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technology.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of cloud observability experience, with 10+ years preferred.

• Hands-on experience with cloud provider platforms, with a requirement for GCP.

• Strong understanding of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices.

• Strong development expertise.

• Strong experience with Terraform.

• Expertise with monitoring and observability technologies like Prometheus and Grafana.

• Experience with DevOps pipelines.

• Experience automating deployment of cloud services.

• Experience certifying cloud services.

• Financial Services experience preferred.

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
