Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Assist in designing and implementing network infrastructure within cloud environments, including virtual private networks (VPNs), routing, and switching.
- Support the development of cloud network solutions in collaboration with other IT teams.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor network performance to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
- Participate in network maintenance activities, ensuring systems meet performance and reliability standards.
- Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud networks.
- Work with IT security teams to adhere to compliance standards.
- Automation and Optimization:
- Help develop automation scripts to manage network configurations and deployments.
- Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, operations, and security teams to align network infrastructure with organizational needs.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and possibly external clients.
- Learning and Development
- Engage in continuous learning to keep up with the latest in cloud and networking technologies. Participate in training sessions and learn from senior engineers.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; Network Engineer, AWS, Azure OR GCP, LAN/WAN, DNS, Cloud
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, VPN, etc.).
- Some experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Understanding of network protocol analyzers for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Architect, Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent real world experience.
