Position Overview: SHR Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for supporting the design, evaluation, implementation, and testing of cloud infrastructure and services across classified and unclassified environments. Works closely with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Government stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions aligned with DoD cybersecurity and mission requirements. Job Responsibilities: Evaluate CSP documentation and recommend technical artifact acceptability.
Track and report commercial parity exceptions monthly to support the SCCA PMO.
Evaluate CSP change/release notifications and advise on operational impact.
Design cloud infrastructures emphasizing scalability, automation, performance, and availability.
Provide advice on CSO adoption based on DoD-specific use cases.
Engage weekly with CSPs to discuss cloud adoption pipelines and address configuration, policy, and control issues.
Facilitate and attend multi-cloud technical exchange meetings.
Develop and maintain a CSO demand tracking list for IC working groups.
Collaborate with Cyber PMO to ensure solutions meet cyber compliance standards.
Support DISA directorates with circuit connections, Cloud Access Point (CAP) onboarding, and Provisional Authorization (DoD PA) technical discussions.
Assist in system testing of tactical edge devices.
Research and provide expertise on emerging cloud technologies, supporting private, public, community, hybrid cloud deployment models, and delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Education: BA/BS degree (or equivalent).
Preferred: BS degree in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
Experience: 10 years of recent relevant experience, with at least 5 years in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience working in large, complex IT environments.
Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and operational environments.
Strong written and oral communication skills for interaction with technical and business stakeholders.
Specialized knowledge or skills may be accepted at Government discretion.
Certifications: Required: Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III (System Administrator - 451 role).

GFACT (GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies)
CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)
CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional - Security)
CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
