Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) who will play a key role in migrating and transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
This position requires Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware residence and requires 3 days in the office in Philadelphia (Tuesday through Thursday).
Key Accountabilities:
Design, implement, and administer GCP architecture and environments, including cloud-native applications and automation.
Optimize GCP costs, create cloud architecture diagrams, and extend on-prem policy and standards to cloud deployments.
Implement solutions addressing cybersecurity issues, perform compliance validation and audits, and improve monitoring, configuration management, and reporting.
Provide technical expertise in cloud technologies and support requests and troubleshooting issues involving other teams, partners, and vendors.
Manage the implementation of IaC (Terraform) and DevOps procedures, including design and implementation of Terraform pipelines and scanning.
Collaborate with the application development team to understand cloud infrastructure requirements and ensure high availability, performance, security, and maintainability of services.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 7 years of experience in GCP and 10 years of experience with infrastructure as code and cloud orchestration, including hands-on experience with Terraform and reusable module creation.
Expertise in GCP services, cloud build, cloud logging, artifact registry, and Google Cloud deployment.
Experience in Terraform, CI/CD, IAM, Big Query, Composer, GKE, Cloud SQL, AI/ML models, IAM solutions, and scripting languages.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, CI, and registry tools.
Solid understanding of cloud operations and engineering, including expertise in IAM, logging, encryption, security protocols, disaster recovery site design, automated infrastructure capabilities like backups and monitoring, and high-availability strategies.
Excellent communication skills and collaborative work experience.
Certification as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect is preferred
GCP Associate or Professional certification is preferred.
Healthcare insurance experience is highly preferred.
