Akkodis is seeking a
Cloud Database Engineer for a
Contract job with a client in
Tysons, VA . The ideal candidate will have expertise in Postgres DB Engineering and AWS Ecosystem, with experience in AWS Dev. Automation (CFT), focused on database optimization and troubleshooting.
Rate Range: $80/hour to $89/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Cloud Database Engineer job responsibilities include: - Designing, developing, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases
- Managing AWS Aurora features and performance optimization
- Troubleshooting and resolving database issues
- Implementing backup, recovery, and security strategies
- Supporting database migration and automation using AWS tools
Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of experience with Postgres DB Engineering and AWS Ecosystem
- Hands-on experience with AWS Dev. Automation (CFT)
- Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Experience with AWS Aurora features and performance tuning
- Knowledge of database migration and automation tools like AWS DMS
- Familiarity with database security and access management best practices
