We're looking for someone who's passionate about cloud tech and secure data integration to join our team as a Cloud Integration Engineer. In this role, you'll design and maintain file-based integration services using AWS Transfer Family (SFTP, FTPS, FTP, AS2) and work with tools like Lambda (Python), Terraform, GitLab, and IBM Sterling File Gateway.
Responsibilities:- Implement and manage AWS Lambda runtimes using Python for scalable file-based solutions.
- Configure and administer AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, IAM roles and policies, security groups, load balancers, and Route 53.
- Lead the definition and implementation of integration architecture standards, best practices, and design principles across multiple teams during cloud migration efforts.
- Develop customized monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and proactive issue detection.
- Support integration services using AWS Transfer Family, enabling secure file transfers over protocols like SFTP, FTPS, FTP, and AS2.
- Provide ongoing production support, including participation in an on-call rotation.
- Build and scale integration service platforms using native AWS services and best-in-class practices.
- Apply deep knowledge of high availability, load balancing, and failover strategies across applications, infrastructure, and platform components.
- Follow collaborative development best practices, including code reviews, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure solutions align with security policies, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and GitLab pipelines for repeatable and secure infrastructure deployment.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- At least of 2 years of hands-on experience designing and developing file-based integration services using AWS Transfer Family (Lambda/Python), SNS, Grafana, IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), and Secure Transport.
- At least 1 year of experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and GitLab.
- Design and implement a secure file transfer bridge integrating AWS Transfer Family (SFTP) with IBM Sterling File Gateway, streamlining partner onboarding and automated file processing workflows.
- Develop scheduled jobs and API integrations to facilitate reliable data exchange between AWS and IBM Sterling for downstream processing.
- Enforce secure access controls using IAM roles and S3 bucket policies, ensuring least-privilege permissions.
- Enable comprehensive auditing and compliance monitoring through AWS CloudTrail and CloudWatch logging.
- Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway implementations using both on-premises infrastructure and AWS EC2 environments is a plus.
- Experience working with IBM Secure Proxy, Axway Secure Transport, Connect Direct, Sterling Control Center is a plus
