The AWS Cloud Engineer will help build and manage cloud solutions for software solutions built by Chello. You will work with AWS technologies to create and maintain cloud infrastructure and services. You will also work with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to make sure our cloud solutions are reliable, scalable, and secure. This position will be on-site based in our offices in Charlotte, North Carolina.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Use AWS tools and best practices to create and manage cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Check and improve the performance and availability of cloud resources.
  • Follow security standards and policies for cloud environments.
  • Write and update automation scripts and pipelines for cloud deployment and configuration.
  • Learn and use new cloud technologies and trends to enhance our cloud capabilities and solutions.
  • Create and follow security best practices and standards for cloud environments, such as encryption, identity and access management, logging and monitoring, etc.
  • Use DevSecOps tools and techniques, such as DAST, SAST, SonarQube, Fortify, etc., to check and improve the quality and security of cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Keep and monitor data pipelines and storage solutions for cloud platforms, such as AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, etc.,
  • Quickly diagnose and fix issues in lower and production environments.
  • Maintain and implement monitoring to ensure stability of lower and production environments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree required.
  • Five (5) years of combined experience in cloud engineering is required.
  • Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, VPC, among others.
  • Skilled in scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and methods leveraging CI/CD.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Love for learning and innovation.
WORK AUTHORIZATION & ELEGIBILITY:
  • Legally authorized to work in the US is required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
  • Employee is responsible for maintaining eligible work authorization throughout his tenure with the organization.
