We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Cloud Engineer to join our client's Cloud Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience building and managing environments in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You are a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative settings, and consistently drive tasks from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
This role will focus on developing infrastructure as code using Terraform, supporting cloud modernization efforts, and participating in cross-functional initiatives that impact our enterprise cloud footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure in Azure and GCP using Terraform
Participate in cloud migrations, modernizations, and automation efforts
Ensure infrastructure follows security, governance, and tagging standards
Troubleshoot issues across cloud services
Collaborate on and maintain technical documentation and cloud architecture diagrams
Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for infrastructure deployments
Perform off hours deployments as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering roles
Strong proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC)
Experience with Azure is required; GCP experience is a strong asset
Familiarity with networking, IAM, monitoring, and cloud-native services
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile environment
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have:
Experience creating architecture or network diagrams (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio, draw.io)
Exposure to container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, AKS, GKE)
Certifications in Azure or GCP (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer)
