Understand the utilization, configuration, implementation, and analysis of industry-standard cyber defense capabilities this includes but not limited to web content filters and email security capabilities, IDS, IPS, and AES
Understand of advanced log analysis and network monitoring
Expertise in network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, and the use of proxies Requirements 5 years of experience performing CND or a master's degree in computer science or a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in working in CND
Proficiency in firewalls, anti-virus capabilities, and Linux/UNIX command line
GIAC and GCIH
Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance Preferred Certification in one or more of the following: Certified Intrusion Analyst, CEH or CISSP
4DoD 8570.01 information assurance technical 3 (IAT Level 3) certified
Foundational cloud certification
