The Cloud Architect / Technical Lead is a key strategist responsible for spearheading the identification, shaping, and closure of high-impact business opportunities. They possess extensive expertise in technology, business requirements analysis, and solution architecture across a spectrum of domains. This role involves leading executive-level discussions to understand client needs and align efforts across multiple workstreams. The Lead Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in structuring and negotiating complex deals to drive optimal outcomes for stakeholders. They provide guidance and direction to senior and junior team members, ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Remote with 50% Travel (2 weeks a month)
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate openly and frankly with all internal and external partners, such as Government Engineers, Contractor Engineers, Contractor Operations staff, Management, and 3rd party vendors

• Ensure timely delivery of all Engineering Service Requests, removing any obstacles to completing work as scheduled

• Perform risk analysis of each Engineering Service Request, and inform all stakeholders of the applicable risks

• Develop, maintain, and execute project plan in support of the platform development and future support

• Perform and coordinate project management activities in accordance with the customers project management team

• Discuss projects at a technical level

• Establish project milestones and monitor adherence to project scope, requirements, and schedules

• Coordinate with internal and external organizations by arranging, chairing, and facilitating meetings to establish project requirements and schedules while ensuring these are well understood and achievable

• Provide regular status reporting for project activities which is circulated to the key stakeholders. The specific schedule, distribution, and reporting requirements will be defined and agreed as part of the Project Initiation activities

• Develop and provide briefings to customers management stakeholders

• Provide meeting minutes documenting action items, milestones, and status

• Report project risks along with risk mitigation recommendations

• Be responsible for day-to-day management of project activities ensuring assigned tasks are completed and that all deliverables are of the highest quality

• Develop and maintain documentation as required

• Other duties as assigned Qualifications

• Secret Clearance required prior to start, TS/SCI preferred

• Will possess a technical IAT-II certification (Sec+ or alternate)

• At least 5 years job experience in a related field working on technical solutions

• Knowledgeable in hypervisor/virtualization technologies.

• Storage knowledge needed

• Must be skilled in security and networking principles.

• Skilled in advanced automation specifically through the use of Ansible Automation platform, terraform, and other industry leading automation methodologies.

• Understanding of DevSecOps and Continuous integration/Continuous delivery principles

• Must be skilled in commercial and on prem cloud architecture.

• Experienced with strategic planning and change management

• Capable of developing migration processes and leading a team through their execution.

• Fundamental understanding of Mainframe highly desired.

• Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines

• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail

• Ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers

• Capable of working as an individual and as the leader of a technical team.

• Excellent problem solving, and critical thinking skills
