We seek a Cloud Architect for a long-term program supporting an IC customer in McLean, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI full-scope polygraph clearance.

The Customer is seeking a Cloud Architect to support the development of a custom production application and provide workflow and research capabilities. The architect will work with various application teams, manage priorities, and design and develop the application in a web environment. The role also involves analyzing user needs, designing software solutions, and performing testing and quality assurance.

Introduction:

• Work closely with various application teams, with the project manager managing priorities.

• Work with applications in the Customer's cloud environment.
Support implementation, design, building enhancements, and long-term maintenance of a new application.

• Design and develop the application in a Web environment.

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions

• Design software or customize software for client use to optimize operational efficiency.

• Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as a team.

• Perform testing, debugging, and quality assurance of the application.

• Play a significant role in implementing a modern microservices-oriented, high-profile, mission-enabling application used daily.

• Periodically work on other systems or tasking, as assigned, to support the Project

• Owners Portfolio IT modernization efforts.

Role:

• Demonstrated experience developing applications using SQL, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS or Golang.

• Demonstrated experience with Relational databases

• Demonstrated experience with Version control systems such as Git.

• Demonstrated experience using React framework.

• Demonstrated experience upgrading and refining existing production applications working with legacy code.

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with development in a cloud environment.

• Demonstrated experience delivering solutions using cloud services

• Demonstrated experience with agile development methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, technically challenging area; ability to anticipate and manage changes or problems; assess impacts and recommend sound solutions.

• Demonstrated experience with authentication and authorization processes.

• Demonstrated experience with Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) security tools.

Nice to Have:

• Demonstrated experience with Customer networks, systems, and services.

• Demonstrated experience with the Customer's authentication and authorization process.

• Demonstrated experience with Scalable Computing, Relational Database Services, Load

• Balancing, Key Management Systems, Autoscaling, and Storage Services.

• Demonstrated experience with PostgreSQL database, Redis, and SQL.

• Demonstrated experience developing system prototypes and proof of concept to demonstrate proper application of design principles.

• Demonstrated experience with Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins.

• Demonstrated experience providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support to production systems, including troubleshooting.

• Demonstrated experience in full-stack development.

• Demonstrated experience with REST services.

• AWS Certification or other certifications
