We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cloud Administrator to join our technology team. The Cloud Administrator will be responsible for overseeing our company's cloud computing infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and cost-efficiency, while also implementing new technologies and troubleshooting issues. This role requires expertise in both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Key Responsibilities: - Manage and Monitor Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee day-to-day operations of cloud environments on Azure and AWS, ensuring optimal security, performance, and availability. Work on an on-call rotation with the Platform/Infrastructure Team for day-to-day escalations and support needs.
- Database Administration: Oversee day-to-day operations of Azure SQL Server administration, including availability, performance, monitoring, and security.
- Design and Implement Cloud Solutions: Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements, leveraging the capabilities of Azure and AWS.
- Security and Compliance: Work and collaborate with enterprise IT and MDR to ensure cloud environments adhere to security policies and compliance standards. Monitor access, usage, and resources to maintain a secure infrastructure. Implement and oversee security measures such as encryption, identity access management (IAM), and security protocols. Regularly assess and mitigate security risks to protect cloud-based applications and platforms.
- System Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data and ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications. Provide technical support to end-users.
- Automation and Optimization: Utilize scripting and automation tools to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency. Optimize resource utilization to control costs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with enterprise IT and development teams to define and implement cloud strategies, architectures, and services.
- Training and Documentation: Educate teams on cloud best practices and provide training as needed. Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud environments and procedures.
- Systems Administration: Manage and maintain various systems including Windows, and Linux servers. Ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and performing efficiently.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Appropriate experience may be substituted for education.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in cloud administration or related roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, cloud services and cloud administration.
- Strong proficiency in Azure SQL Server administration.
- Strong proficiency in Windows, IIS and Linux administration.
- Strong scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash/Python.
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, RBAC and security groups in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Pay Transparency The approximate base pay range for this position is $90,000.00 to $120,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as geographic location.
