Vendor Oversight Manager - Contractor
Position Summary:
The Vendor Oversight Manager Contractor will lead the development and execution of vendor governance strategies within Clinical Development Operations. This role is key in ensuring vendor performance, managing business risk, and maintaining compliance with global regulations. The position involves close collaboration with both internal teams and external vendors to support efficient, high-quality clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Vendor Governance Oversight program in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance against contractual terms and established KPIs
- Generate and distribute monthly and quarterly vendor performance reports to relevant stakeholders
- Drive resolution of performance issues and implement mitigation plans when necessary
- Align vendor relationships with broader business goals across clinical operations
- Lead vendor selection, due diligence, contracting, and ongoing relationship management
- Create evaluation tools for vendor assessments at onboarding and through annual reviews
- Oversee financial tracking and reconciliation activities related to vendor engagements
- Design and manage stakeholder satisfaction surveys to inform vendor oversight enhancements
- Support audits and inspections by ensuring vendor documentation and processes meet compliance standards

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent required
Experience:
- Must be local, with an expectation of being onsite at least four days per week
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company; start-up experience is a plus
- 5+ years of clinical research experience with a strong focus on vendor oversight
- Prior team or project management experience is required
- In-depth understanding of clinical trials, drug development, ICH/GCP guidelines, and SOP compliance
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
