We are recruiting a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist for Neonates who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People. Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead and develop the neonatal therapy service, undertaking research, evaluation, and implementation of evidence-based practice to ensure high-quality services. The role can be filled by either an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, or split between both. Support for further training and development in this specialist area will be provided.

Job responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership to the neonatal therapy team, ensuring high-quality care through effective communication, motivation, and influence.
- Lead and be an expert in neonatal therapy services, managing clinical risks and maintaining accurate records in line with professional standards.
- Practice independently at an advanced level, assessing risks and consulting senior medical staff when appropriate.
Person Specification Qualifications
- Appropriate Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy qualification (e.g., MCSP/BSc)
- Registration with HCPC, CSP, RCOT, or equivalent
- Postgraduate education/courses in neonatal therapy
Knowledge
- Advanced skills in assessment and treatment of neonatal clinical presentations
- Experience delivering high-quality teaching to multi-professional groups
Experience
- Significant post-registration experience, especially in neonatal care within NHS
- Staff management, supervision, and development experience
- Experience in education and training of staff and students
Skills
- Autonomous clinical practice with strong assessment and reasoning skills
- Expert therapeutic handling skills relevant to neonatal care
- Leadership and influencing skills to command confidence across multidisciplinary teams

This post requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 per annum/pro-rata
