Job Title:Clinical Research Senior AssistantDepartment:Nursing College Administration
The College of Nursing seeks a Clinical Research Senior Assistant to assist with day-to-day operations of a clinical research study involving parents and infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The Clinical Research Senior Assistant will independently perform data collection from the electronic health record and data entry into an electronic database. Other duties include assisting with student training; organizing study records; documenting survey and data form completion; making telephone calls or sending emails to study participants; visiting the clinical sites to distribute and collect study surveys, collect unit data, and address participant questions; and attending study team meetings. Perform duties of a responsible, sensitive, and confidential nature. Able to work independently within established protocols.
This is a term position with an expected duration of 2 years.
Minimum Education required, degree level and focus area:
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences or medical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Years of Experience required:
2 years relevant experience required, 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
Health care knowledge or experience preferred. Strong communication skills and work ethic are desired. Ability to work without intense supervision. This position requires reliable transportation to local hospitals for data collection. Some weekend and evening hours required. Experience using the EPIC electronic health record required; knowledge of REDCap strongly preferred.
