Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a strong background in oncology to join our clinical team. The NP will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients with cancer, supporting clinical trial operations, and working cross-functionally with medical, research, and patient services teams. This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of cancer therapeutics and patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans for oncology patients in collaboration with physicians.
  • Monitor patient progress, manage symptoms and side effects, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for patients and families, providing education on disease, treatments, and symptom management.
  • Support ongoing clinical trials by conducting assessments, collecting data, and ensuring protocol compliance.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, clinical researchers, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated, compassionate care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in case reviews, multidisciplinary team meetings, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on oncology trends, emerging therapies, and regulatory guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program.
  • Current California Nurse Practitioner license and certification (AANP or ANCC).
  • DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience in oncology or hematology-oncology preferred.
  • Familiarity with cancer treatment modalities including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
  • Experience in clinical research or working in a biotech or academic clinical trial setting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and EMR skills.
