Duties: Looking to hire a full time University of Pennsylvania position Clinical Research Coordinator for the Department of Cardiac Surgery to assist in conducting NHLBI sponsored clinical trials conducted by the Cardiothoracic Clinical Trials Surgical Network. The incumbent will recruit, consent and screen patients for clinical trials; complete and submit case report forms; resolve data queries; ensure all appointments are scheduled per protocol; report all adverse events; participate and prepare for meetings and site visits (site evaluations, initiations, monitoring, closures and audits).
Position is contingent on continued funding.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The ideal candidate will have clinical research experience and an excellent understanding of medical terminology, Microsoft programs including Outlook programs, Office programs and Excel spread sheets. This candidate must have good critical thinking skills, be very organized and be able to multi-task and has the ability to function as a team member and independently.
