Job Title:Clinical Research Assistant

Department:Medicine Psychiatry

To provide assistance in support of clinical research studies; assist with implementation and coordination of studies; participate in recruitment of study participants; perform behavioral or diagnostic testing; assist with collection maintenance & reporting of clinical research data.


The Clinical Research Assistant will work both independently and assist MEND2 Lab members supporting various research projects that relate to mood disorders. The primary focus of their efforts will be on the RuMeChange, MARIS, CCAM and MORR studies. RuMeChange is a randomized clinical trial of youth with a history of depression. The treatment arms are rumination-focused CBT in comparison to relaxation therapy. Measurements of change include brain imaging, the rumination habit, depressive symptoms, and cognitive functioning. MARIS is a novel, multimodal, longitudinal study to test whether brain network properties during stress-induced rumination are implicated in the development of depression in a diverse sample of adolescent girls. CCAM is study that aims to assess how depressive symptoms affect cognitive performance, specifically facial emotion perception and executive functioning, across diverse racial/ethnic groups. MORR is a research repository of individuals with mood disorders who are willing to provide clinical data yearly, and who are willing to be contacted to participate in current and future studies of mood disorders.


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences or medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required. 0 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
