Overview

Our Clinical Occupational Medicine Specialist will assist in business development for occupational health services alongside the Occupational Medicine Department.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES


• Provides on-site services for occupational health clients including DOT physicals as needed or requested by Occupational Health Clients


• Provides up to date training for new members of medical staff statewide


• Responsible for compliance with DOT certification requirements across medical staff


• Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of Occupational Health


• Provides urgent care services in high demand clinics as needed when other occupational health duties are fulfilled.


• Adheres to the service and courtesy standard of Prisma Health Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times.


• Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Prisma Health Urgent Care policies and procedures.


• Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.



EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study

Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of practice

2 Year Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred.

Occupational Medicine experience preferred

DOT certification required

Current DEA registration

BLS certification required

Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Prisma Health Urgent Care

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other team members

Required to travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needs
