The Registered Nurse coordinates patient care appropriate to the patient's age, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality care aligned with unit standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited RN program and valid RN license; BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire, other certifications within 6 months. Demonstrates current clinical knowledge, effective communication, respect for patient rights, and adaptability to patient needs. Supervised by the Patient Care Director or Manager; works in a clean, well-lit environment, with flexible hours and exposure to infectious diseases and emergencies. Physical demands include handling emergencies, prolonged standing/walking, transferring patients/equipment, and good visual and manual dexterity skills.
