The RN position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and a current New Mexico or Compact state RN license. BLS certification is mandatory within 2 weeks of hire, with other certifications needed within 6 months. Candidates must demonstrate age-specific patient care skills, respect patient rights, and communicate effectively. Supervised by a Patient Care Director or Manager, staff work in a safe, well-maintained environment with exposure to infectious diseases and x-ray areas. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to handle emergencies. Physical demands include handling emergencies, extensive standing/walking, patient transfers, reaching, bending, and fine motor tasks, with normal or corrected vision and hearing. All certifications must be maintained without grace periods.
