Position Summary

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support all Health Programs. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency of the program by providing administrative and clerical support to faculty, students, and external partners.

Key responsibilities in this role will include interacting and communicating with all health program faculty, prospective students ,currently enrolled students, other college departments, clinical affiliates, regulatory agencies and nursing education vendors, assisting in the implementation of the health program admission process, and the maintenance of student records and files. Compliance with health agency requirements with prospective and currently enrolled students is critical to departmental success

Knowledge and experience with myClinicalExchange and Complio are preferred, but not necessary.

Required Education/Experience

  • Associates Degree, and two (2) years of Clerical/administrative experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to routinely interact with students face to face, by e-mail and phone. Ability to work well with individuals with diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with nursing education regulatory standards, health care vocabulary and the community college environment.
