Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma informed care with a focus on mental health using a holistic approach.
  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care, including exercises and therapeutic modalities.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings, including outpatient clinics and skilled nursing facilities.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure effective therapy practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by ancillary manager.

Qualifications

  • Strong patient care skills
  • In-depth knowledge of physiology and anatomy
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and physical therapy techniques
  • Experience in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Familiarity with discharge planning and care plans
