The role:
We are enhancing our clients' end-to-end experience of advice. Our 2030 strategy has articulated a vision for our clients. You will elaborate on this and help ensure its realisation.
You will be recognised as an expert in articulating a client strategy, and then overseeing the design and implementation of an end-to-end client journey that can deliver that strategy.
You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary effort to envisage and then design the future client experience. You will consider the 'end-to-end' client experience, which includes both offline and online channels. You will also ensure a client-centric approach to experience design.
In addition, you will be an internal thought leader regarding how our clients experience our planning and advice proposition. You will work with other subject-matter experts to identify areas for improvement.
You will contribute to other client proposition initiatives, particularly within the Client Strategy team, ensuring that our Group's client propositions are complementary and distinct. As part of our client function, you will be an internal advocate for our clients and their outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Help to deliver our strategy regarding our advice proposition.
- Work with Client Strategy colleagues to articulate a client strategy aligned with the new strategic goals.
- Assess our current end-to-end client experience.
- Lead efforts to redesign our clients' end-to-end experience of advice, ensuring an innovative, client-centric, and strategically aligned design that is also commercially attractive.
- Act as an internal thought leader on our clients' experience of advice.
- Coordinate with corporate strategy and change delivery teams to ensure alignment.
- Support client function colleagues with client reporting, outcome delivery and monitoring, research, insights, and thought leadership.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor strategies to inform improvements.
- Represent the team in governance committees, providing oversight on client strategy, propositions, and outcomes.
- Advocate internally for our clients and our approach to achieving good client outcomes.
Who We Are Looking For:
We seek a financial services professional with strong skills in strategy, proposition design, innovation, and experience. You should have a track record of bringing clarity to complex situations, with problem-solving, analytical, strategic, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in guiding propositional change within large, complex organizations is essential. You should be comfortable working with data, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating insights into clear recommendations. Strong communication, resilience, and a collaborative mindset are key.
- Deep experience in the UK financial advice sector, especially in client strategy and proposition design.
- Experience in envisioning and overseeing end-to-end client experiences.
- Understanding of SJP's business model, strategy, and client propositions, or similar.
- Knowledge of key financial products and investment management.
- Awareness of sector innovations, including regulatory, technological, operational, and experiential changes.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting insights and guiding teams.
- Knowledge of Consumer Duty and relevant regulatory topics.
Special Requirements:
Some national travel may be required, primarily between Cirencester and London, with occasional overnight stays.
