What You'll Do CURRENT BUSINESS
- Provide support for group level issues to all current and prospective clients on a daily basis
- Create and prepare specific client presentations for the Account Director to add major components
- Responsible for completing and compiling all client paperwork as it relates to renewals, benefit changes, compliance reviews, open enrollment, etc. and save on BSI shared drive.
- Responsible for wellness participation tracking monthly
- Assists with open enrollment and other meetings when necessary as determined by the Account Director
- Provide necessary follow-up by assisting the data team with audits to verify correct rates/plans are implemented by the carrier
- Support Account Director with requests for proposals and enrollment preparations for key accounts
- Provide a brief understanding of the issues and laws pertinent to the industry, including the Affordable Care Act
- Willingness to learn and understand financial arrangements (fully insured, experience-rated, self-funded, etc.) and the pros and cons of each
- Follow corporate standards regarding formatting, presentation style, and content
- Operate within appropriate guidelines to prevent Error and Omission claims
- Works with the Account Director to ensure all client plan information (plans, contacts, commissions, etc.) is entered into Salesforce, our internal tracking system
- Acts as liaison between client and BSI Customer Service team to enter inquiries into Salesforce and steps in to assist when needed
- Collaborate with Marketing to create custom flyers and other communications relevant to employee engagement
- Update flyers as needed with minor changes such as logos etc. and distribute to clients for employee engagement purposes
- Facilitate the EOS meeting agenda in regard to introducing each section, take meeting minutes and send the documents 24 hours in advance for review.
- Supports the maintenance of all internal notifications and tracking of any upcoming compliance needs for the account teams to communicate to necessary clients.
- Assists in compiling all client information needed for Compliance Binders and/or guidebooks as needed.
- Assists with developing service calendars
- Manage carrier set up and portal access for groups and teams in assigned book of business
- Manage all client compliance activities and support AD for 5500, 1095, Medicare Part D, PCORI, CAA, etc.
NEW BUSINESS
- Supports Account Director with documents for transition meetings with new clients
- Supports Account Director with the preparation of open enrollment meetings for new clients
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Creates paper and electronic files according to corporate standards
- Displays professional conduct that acts as a positive example for the team
- Protect confidential material, procedure manuals, and methods of doing business
- Keeps Outlook calendar up to date and accessible
- Keeps hours as necessary to complete all position requirements
- Maintains an organized work area that allows co-workers to access information when required during the absence of the employee
- Use appropriate conflict resolutions and provide constructive feedback to management and suggest possible resolutions
- Available to support other departments and/or additional projects when needed
What You Need to Thrive in This Role - A bachelor's degree in business, communications, general studies, or similar area or 4 years of industry-related experience preferred
- Insurance licenses (Life, Accidental & Health) required within six months of employment and ability to maintain insurance license
- Understanding of insurance rating processes for fully insured, experience-rated, and self-funded plans
- Experience in reading and interpreting reports from insurance carriers
- Basic knowledge of Health Savings Accounts
- A high energy level and the ability to work under significant pressure with frequent interruptions
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to concurrently handle many issues
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to become proficient in Agency Management Software - Salesforce
- Proficiency with software programs, such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Google Suite
- Ability to establish rapport and relationships with clients and carrier representatives
