Client Service Representative (Concierge Experience) - Be the Heart of Bark Avenue Location: Riverdale, NJ

Bark Avenue Veterinary Services, we believe the client experience starts long before the exam room. Our
Client Service Representatives (CSRs) are the warm welcome, the calm presence, and the detail-driven hosts who make every visit feel like a walk in the park-literally.
We're not your typical vet clinic, and this is
not your average front desk job. This role is perfect for someone with a background in hospitality or luxury service, who loves pets, people, and creating memorable moments.
What You'll Do: As a Bark Ave CSR, you'll be stationed at our
concierge-style welcome desk, greeting clients and their furry besties with intention and care. Your focus is to create a seamless, stress-lowering experience for every pet parent who walks through our doors.
- Be the first friendly face our clients see-offer a warm, genuine welcome to every guest
- Check in clients with care and professionalism
- Text with clients using our practice communication software
- Host clients by offering complimentary beverages and snacks from our bodega-style refreshment nook
- Guide new and existing clients through our Bestie Club membership options
- Track membership usage and ensure clients get the full value of their plan
- Schedule appointments with attention to client and patient needs
- Check clients out and provide thoughtful financial options and estimates
- Confidently discuss Trupanion Pet Insurance and assist clients with their coverage questions
- Maintain a sparkling, welcoming environment (yes, a bit of tidying and refreshing is part of the magic.)
- Communicate clearly and kindly with the veterinary care team to ensure seamless patient flow
- Be open to Fear Free Certification and learn basic veterinary knowledge to support the team
Note: This role is
not responsible for answering phones. Our concierge desk is designed to provide
undivided attention to the clients present in the space-because we believe everyone deserves our full focus.
What We're Looking For:- Hospitality, luxury retail, or client services experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communicator, in person and in writing
- Kind, confident, and polished under pressure
- Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and quick to learn new systems
- Passion for pets and creating exceptional experiences
- Comfortable discussing finances and membership options in a transparent, reassuring way

Clinic hours (Subject to change as we grow): Monday: 9 AM - 5 PM
Closed: Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Thursday: 10 AM - 5 PM
Friday & Saturday: 12 PM - 10 PM
Sunday: 8 AM - 12 PM
