Position: Client Service Associate - Fixed Income

Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 (Annual) + Bonus

Position Description:

This position will play an important role in servicing MacKay Shields' institutional clients. The primary responsibility of the Client Service Associate is to work alongside senior members of the Marketing & Client Services Team and investment professionals to deliver the highest level of client service by building relationships with our partners, gathering and analyzing fixed income trends, evaluating portfolio strategies, and completing detailed client reports. Major responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities
  • Complete, review, and evaluate complex client reports, client due diligence questionnaires, and portfolio presentations
  • Understand and respond to ad hoc client inquires in a timely and efficient manner
  • Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues and our clients
  • Handle multiple tasks while meeting strict client deadlines
  • Keep abreast of industry initiatives and market trends that impact the business
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the financial services industry (preferably in fixed income asset management)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of software applications in general, such as index-provider databases, Factset, Bloomberg, and eVestment
  • High attention to detail and ability to analyze and validate data
  • Understanding of performance reporting, risk measures, and portfolio characteristics
  • Customer focused with proven analytical skills in fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship building skills, with ability to clearly articulate analysis both written and verbally
  • Knowledge of fixed income securities and financial markets
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize deliverables in a deadline-focused environment, and identify opportunities to improve current processes
  • Added preference will be given to candidates with a background in finance, those with a prior history of working with asset management clients and those who have attained or are participating in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program through the CFA Institute
