The Private Lending Services team is seeking a professional who can collaborate with regional lending managers, private lending underwriters, global client financing, credit, legal, and other operations teams to perform critical control functions in a rapidly growing business while delivering an excellent client experience.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division partnering with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales, trading, and asset management capabilities globally. It provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and reputation. For every trade, new product, market entry, or transaction, Operations develops the processes and controls that enable business flow.
The Private Lending Services (PLS) team is a high-value control middle office team within PWM operations supporting the PWM Private Lending organization. It originates new loans via GS BANK USA and GS International Bank to PWM clients and Private Equity Firms across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia. The team also ensures compliance with federal regulations during loan origination, funding, and ongoing maintenance.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Collaborate with cross-divisional partners, including engineering and business personnel, on bank loan origination and servicing.
- Establish and drive transformational strategies to uplift service standards, improve workflows, and manage reporting to monitor risk and provide a differentiated client experience.
- Engage with Private Lending leadership to ensure appropriate oversight on high-risk functions, strategic initiatives, and daily volumes.
- Provide accurate and timely secondary reviews and approvals of customer due diligence (KYC).
- Manage process improvements and take functional ownership of KYC within Private Lending.
- Review and approve loan fundings accurately and promptly.
- Gain comprehensive understanding of the private lending organization by interacting with regional managers, underwriters, credit, legal, global client financing, and other teams across regions.
- Partner with PWM PWAs and WMPS to assist clients in loan application, origination, and servicing.
- Implement strong control and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with GS Bank USA regulations while delivering excellent client service.
- Identify and develop strategies for process efficiencies to reduce manual tasks and increase control amid business growth.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience in financial services.
- Proven client service skills, teamwork, and a sense of urgency for time-sensitive, confidential tasks.
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with senior business leaders across divisions.
- Self-motivated, proactive team player with ownership and accountability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
