Widmer Roel is seeking an Accountant to join our Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. In this role, you'll support clients with bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, tax compliance, and other accounting functions. You'll work across diverse industries in both consulting and operational capacities, with strong opportunities for leadership and career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter data from bank statements and make other journal entries as required to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ledger accounts to verify transactions and identify any discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze comparative financials to assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and decision making.
- Work closely with and provide financial guidance to clients, addressing their questions and concerns, and offering proactive solutions.
- Prepare payroll and related reports for clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide support as needed to other team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years' QuickBooks experience preferred
- Strong communication skills for client support and stakeholder interaction
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and standards, as well as various accounting software and tools
- Proficient in technology and data entry with high accuracy
- Eager to learn and grow within the team
- Agricultural accounting experience preferred
