TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-Month Position, Full-Time; Hours 7:30am - 3:30pm

STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible

SALARY RANGE: $16.50 - $23.00 per hour
Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

DUTIES:
  1. Assume responsibility for the effective team functioning of the clinical therapy staff by being responsive.
  2. Work independently, be proactive anticipating therapist questions, district and administration needs.
  3. Meet deadlines and make appropriate decisions.
  4. Be versatile and flexible, adapt to a variety of circumstances, and exhibit effective problem-solving skills.
  5. Manage medical script processes and verification procedures for 1200 students.
  6. Generate letters and memos and create forms when requested.
  7. Facilitate working team relationships among School Districts, BOCES, and outside agencies.
  8. Use discretion in matters of confidentiality and in reporting incidents or concerns to the Director.
  9. Carry out other duties as requested by the Clinical Therapy Coordinator and administrative staff.
  10. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Suites with an emphasis on Excel.
  11. Provide guidance and training to department staff on forecasting and caseloads maintenance and development.


QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Civil Service eligibility as Office Clerk II: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus either:
(A) Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university; OR,

(B) Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience ; OR,

(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.

2. Strong interpersonal skills greeting visitors and callers, and in interactions with students and staff members.
3. Skilled in PC applications with experience in Microsoft Word, Access and Excel preferred.
4. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
5. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through ability.
6. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
7. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
