LOCATION OF POSITION:Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450;Bird/Morgan School
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:12-Month Position; Full-Time, 6:30am-2:30pm
STARTING DATE: June 2025
SALARY RANGE: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
Actual Salary is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
DUTIES:
- Be proactive anticipating personnel and office needs, make appropriate decisions quickly, be versatile, adapt to a variety of circumstances and exhibit effective problem-solving skills.
- Process phone, mail and e-mail correspondence for assigned supervisor in the department.
- Maintain staff time and attendance for payroll and Annual Professional Performance Reviews (APPR).
- Create recommendations for hire in Frontline for regular school year and ESY and as needed during the school year.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings and schedules when needed.
- Create letters for mailings to staff, parents, districts and do so by the required deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, Frontline, WinCap Financial, and Company Mileage
- Other related duties as requested by the administrative staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Civil Service eligibility forClerk I: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus either:
(A) Four (4) years of paid full-time or its part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; OR, (B) An associate degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience as described in (A) above; OR, (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
NOTES:
Successful completion of one (1) year of college coursework (or 30 semester credit hours) from a New York State registered or regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Salesclerk shall not be considered office clerical experience. 2. Strong interpersonal skills greeting visitors and callers, and in interactions with students and staff members.

- Ability to handle confidential material appropriately.
- School office experience preferred.
