They also provide superior service to all internal and external customers. The CA must be able to demonstrate the proper use of communication devices to carry out unit functioning. The ability to communicate technical and regulatory requirements to key stakeholder groups, including patient and family, accurately and in a service-oriented manner is required. Unit Description: The COU is a cardiac-focused department that is utilized for admitting and recovering Cath Lab procedures such as heart catheterizations, structural heart procedures, peripheral vascular angiograms, Cardioversions, Anti-Arrhythmic admissions, ablations, pacemaker / defibrillator implants, loop recorders, EP studies, and CABG surgeries. The GW COU currently provides PACU recoveries for patients that have received anesthesia for procedures such as A-Fib ablations, TAVR procedures, LAAO procedures, and device implants. The COU is expanding from 12 beds- 33 beds that will operate 24/7/365. After the expansion, the GW COU will admit Simple Observation Cardiology patients as well such as arrhythmias and rule-out chest pain in addition to all the procedures listed above Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education: Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire. Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred Successfully completes Epic class as required by care center/unit.
