DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 works within the Centralized Scheduling Office of the Residential Living Area of the State Center and reports to the Clerical Supervisor 2. The primary duties of this position are scheduling staff on all three shifts for each unit within the Residential Living Area to ensure that each shift has full coverage. This requires maintaining accurate scheduling reports and spreadsheets to schedule state staff and contracted staff in a 24/7 facility for all shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays and trainings.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
