Opportunity:
Virtual Service Operations is currently seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to support a high-priority cloud initiative. This hybrid position, based in Columbia, MD, offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud architectures supporting cyber missions and multi-network fabric environments. The architect will assist in building and refactoring cloud solutions, with a focus on landing zones and cloud program accreditation for classified systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and refactor solutions to operate across multiple network fabrics.
- Build and maintain cloud landing zones aligned with DoD cloud accreditation requirements.
- Support cloud infrastructure design and integration for cyber mission systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current systems and recommend enhancements.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines within secure cloud environments.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of CDS (Cross Domain Solutions).
Requirements
- 7-9 years of experience in cloud architecture or related roles.
- 3+ years of experience in the design, implementation, or consulting of distributed applications.
- Must be able to work 50% onsite in Columbia, MD.
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
- Experience in software development using object-oriented programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Proficiency with tools and services including: AWS CDK, Apache NiFi (cluster configuration), AWS Lambda / Step Functions, ETL processes / Data analysis tools, and CDS solutions
- Experience working with DoD classified systems is strongly preferred.
